Subject content & Assessment

The syllabus is organized into 2 components:
  • Coursework
  • Drawing and Painting
 
Paper 1:  Coursework (60%)
The candidates are required to develop a set of preparatory work leading to the final work based on a particular theme.  This may be in the form of 2D or 3D Fine Arts or design.
 
Paper 2:  Drawing and Painting (40%)
Examination questions are given 3 weeks in advance prior to examination date.  Candidates are required to choose one of the themes given and develop a set of preparatory work.  On the day of the examination, they will complete the final work in 2D drawing and painting within 3 hours and submit it together with the preparatory work.
